Service Descriptions

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage combines movement and massage to promote general relaxation, improved circulation, improved range of motion, and decrease of muscle tension.

The client lays on a table covered in sheets and are undressed to their comfort level and professionally draped. Oil or lotion is used.
The ambiance of the setting also lends to relaxation.  Soft music is usually played, and the lights are dimmed.

Benefits include overall increased sense of well being, relaxation, decreased stress, released pent up emotional energy, and most of all it feels great!

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia.  The pressure is deeper, however, the massage therapist will work within the client's comfort level and pain tolerance.  Usually the massage therapist will use their forearms and elbows during the massage to achieve the deeper pressure.

Benefits include helping relieve chronic aches and pain, release tension in neck and shoulders, and loosening tight muscles.

Spa Cupping

A professional vacuum cupping set with acrylic cups is used to produce a consistent, specific, and customized treatment for each client.

Massage Cupping is the combination of massage movements and negative pressure, as opposed to pushing into -or compressing- the skin, fascia, and muscle.  A cup is specifically sized and placed on the afflicted area and a vacuum is created to draw the skin and underlying tissue

into the cup.

Fire cupping is not performed at this location.

Following treatment, gentle gliding strokes are guided towards the areas of the body where the lymphatic system can flush out excess fluid and toxins.

If you are interested in finding out if  cupping therapy is right  for you, ask Geri Lynn for a consultation.  Some medical conditions and medications make cupping therapy unadvisable.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

The primary function of the lymphatic system is to filter toxins and keep our  nutrients in balance. A build up of fluid within this system can cause edema.

Lymphatic drainage massage assists in facilitating the movement of the fluid, resulting in removal or harmful substances, boosting immune system, and reducing swelling.

This type of massage is slow, rhythmic and gentle with very light pressure.  There is no deep tissue manipulation.

Lomi Lomi Massage

Lomilomi massage is a Hawaiian form of massage therapy.

Rhythmic Hawaiian music is played as the therapist follows the sounds with long, sweeping strokes of forearms and hands.  Usually, these massage techniques run the length of the body.

This therapy is both dynamic and calming; releasing sticky myofascial adhesions while increasing circulation and relaxing tense muscles.

Reflexology

Reflexology is based upon the idea that each body part is represented on the hands and feet.  Applying pressure on specific areas on the hands and feet can have a therapeutic effect on the rest of the body.   Clients remain fully clothed, with only having to remove socks and shoes.  Lotion or oil can be used.

Benefits include relaxation, increased energy, stimulated blood circulation, and it feels great!
